This June, I was lucky enough to have escaped the cold and spend a (short) summer in Italy.. indulging in all its finest foods from a gelato a day to having shaved truffle on (almost) everything. The trip was equally exciting and daunting because of all the many ‘firsts’; first time traveling solo, first time setting foot in Europe and best of all shooting my first wedding(s) in Europe/Italy! None of which I regretted at the end of it all! This incredible opportunity comes from Lauren of Lauren Michelle Photography who asked me to assist her in a few of her jobs around Italy. I felt like I was living a wedding photographer’s dream!
I photographed 3 weddings in 10 days, all in different parts of the country.. so this is just the first of three!
R & A’s wedding took place in Verbania on Lake Maggiore, one of the larger lakes in Italy. It was a pretty laid back day with everything taking place on the beautiful grounds of Villa Rusconi Clerici. The best feature of this property is definitely its magnificent views of the lake, imagine arriving by boat and walking down the aisle with this to your right! #weddingdaygoals

Venue: Villa Rusconi Clerici, Verbania, Lake Maggiore
Note: I was the second shooter for a few short hours so that explains why it doesn’t look as “complete”, but nonetheless I hope you enjoy my captures!
