Wedding Day

How long have you been shooting weddings?

Clarzzique started offering wedding photography and videography services from 2011.

What equipment do you use?

We are mostly Canon users, and use their professional range of camera bodies and lenses for both photography and videography jobs.

Other than weddings, what else do you shoot?

We mainly focus on weddings and engagements but aren’t limited to these. We also do other portrait sessions e.g. family and branding shoots too. Amongst our team we have some members who do commercial shoots on the side (e.g. fashion, automotive, product, corporate) so do not hesitate to ask.

Do you travel interstate/internationally for jobs?

Yes! We are always interested in growing our destination wedding portfolio :) We’ve documented a few weddings around Australia as well as Asia, the Pacific islands and Europe too. We offer special rates for destination weddings, so do get in touch!

What is the turn around for photos/videos?

For weddings, we aim to deliver final files within 2-3 months for photo and 3-4months for video. However this may vary slightly depending on whether your wedding is during peak season or not. You will expect to hear from us with sneak peeks/draft edits within the first month after your wedding day. As for portraits, these take about 4 weeks to be edited and finalised.

Can we meet prior to booking?

Of course! If we are available on your wedding date, we’ll be happy to set up a consultation with you either in person or over Skype/the phone. In person consultations are held at either Alexandria or Castle Hill on week days/nights.

When is a good time to book?

We do not take bookings more than a year in advance but happy to respond to enquiries and send over our packages (which are subject to price changes prior to the one year mark from your wedding date). If you are getting married within the next year, we urge you to get in contact with us ASAP especially if it is during the warmer months, dates can get snapped up really quickly.

How do we secure our date?

Just let us know which package you’d like to book as well as any add ons. We’ll then send a quote via our booking site for you to follow through which will include a few questions, contract and payment details. A 30% non-refundable deposit of your total quote is required at the time of booking to secure your date. We only accept payments by bank transfer, and the balance to be paid by the week prior to your wedding day.

How many photos will I receive?

For half day coverage, there is a approx. 700 photos. Full day coverage you’re looking at approx. 900 photos more or less depending on what happens on the day. We do not cap the amount of photos we deliver.

Do you provide RAW photos?

No we do not provide RAW photos. We want to deliver a carefully curated collection of photos that summarises your wedding day beautifully with minimal repeated or accidental shots.

How long does it take to get an album made?

From design to production it could take 1-2 months. We start designing once couples have received their wedding photos, made their selection of photos to include and have discussed their album design preferences.

Do we get to choose the song?

For the short highlight video unfortunately we are unable to use any main stream songs for copyright reasons, therefore we only work with songs that we are able to purchase a license for. If you’ve watched our videos, you’ll be able to get a vibe the kind of songs we use. We are able to use your selection of songs for the feature length video though.

How do Same Day Edits work?

We will have an additional video editor working alongside with the videographers from the start of the day. The editor will import video files from the videographers and put together a trailer style video to be played during the reception. The video will include snippets from getting ready up until the start of reception. We aim to have it ready for showing by 9:30PM. This will be an additional video on top of the video package and not an express edit of your wedding highlight video. Your highlight video will have more footage from the reception.

Why should we book an engagement shoot?

We highly recommend an engagement shoot because it will help you both to get comfortable in front of the camera. We find that couples who have done an engagement shoot are more relaxed during the location shoot on their wedding day. It is also a great way to get to know your photographer!

When should we schedule in an engagement shoot?

No later than 2 months prior to the wedding day. This will allow us enough time to turn around the photos incase you plan to use them for the wedding day. We are often booked out during the weekends for weddings so Saturdays/Sundays are limited. We are most flexible during weekdays (places are often less crowded too!) and during the cooler months of the year. Engagement shoots are scheduled around sunrise or 1-2hrs before sunset in the afternoon, sunrise sessions are available too. Engagement photos are usually ready within 4 weeks.

Do we pick the location(s)?

We do recommend you try to pick a location that you both love or have fond memories in. If you are unsure we are happy to make suggestions based on what kind of look you want for the photos, e.g beach, nature, cityscape.

Are props required and do you provide props?

Props are optional and if you’d like to include them, we ask that you provide your own.

How many photographers/videographers will there be?

There is always 2 Photographers and/or 2 videographers. 1 photographer and/or 1 videographer team at the bride’s getting ready and the same at the groom’s. If you book a Same Day Edit video, there will be an additional Editor on the side from the start of the day.

What is a good time for you to start shooting?

We normally start approx. 1.5hrs prior to the time you are both scheduled to leave for the ceremony or if you are having a traditional tea ceremony it is approx. 1hr before the groom is expected to arrive. The start time can be confirmed closer to the date, but we are happy to help work out an approximate start time earlier on.

How long should we allocate for the location shoot on the day?

If you have booked our photo and video team together we will require a minimum 1-1.5hrs excluding travel time. If you have booked either our photo or video team with another photo/video company we would suggest allowing approximately 1.5-2hrs. We can do 1-2 locations during this time.

Do we have to provide meals?

Yes, if you book us for more than 4 hours we would expect meals to be included. If we are starting in the morning then lunch and dinner meals are required. Reception venues usually have service meals available for crew.

Who will be our photographers/videographers on the day?

Photographers and Videographers will be assigned based on availability and suitability approx 3-6 months prior to your wedding day. You will get to meet the team leader prior to the day to discuss the finer details.
