How long have you been doing this?
Clarzzique began offering wedding photography and videography services from around late 2011. Most of us have at least 5 years of experience in the wedding industry prior to Clarzzique.

So, what equipment do you use?
We are mostly Canon users, and use their professional range of camera bodies and lenses for both photography and videography jobs.

Other than weddings, what else do you photograph?
We mainly focus on weddings but aren’t limited to these. Some of us have experience with fashion and commercial jobs, but on a more personal level also love family, portraits and events.

Do you travel interstate/internationally for jobs?
Yes! We are always interested in growing our destination wedding portfolio :) We’ve documented a few weddings around Australia as well as Asia, the Pacific islands and Europe too.


How many photos will I receive?
For half day coverage, there is a approx 700 photos. Full day coverage you’re looking at 700-1000 photos more or less depending on what happens on the day. We do take a lot of photos but take the time to cull down to a good collection which summarises the day, meaning there are very little repeats.

Do you provide RAW photos?
We take great pride in our work from capturing the photo to the final delivery. You will find a majority of photographers do not offer RAW photos because it is like an artist presenting a rough sketch before painting the finished artwork.

How long does it take to get a wedding album made?
From design to the album makers could take 1-2 months for completion. We start designing once couples have received their wedding photos, made their selection of photos to include and have discussed their album design preferences.


Do we get to chose the music?
For the short highlight video unfortunately we are unable to use any main stream songs for copyright reasons, therefore we only work with songs that we are able to purchase a license for. If you’ve watched our videos, you’ll be able to get a vibe the kind of songs we use. We are able to use your selection of songs for the feature length video though.

How do Same Day Edits work?
We will have an additional Video Editor following the videographers around from the start of the day. The Editor will import video files from the videographers and put together a trailer style video to be played during the reception. The video will include snippets from getting ready up until the end of location shoot. We aim to have it ready for showing by 9-9:30PM. This will be an additional video on top of the video package and not just an express edit of your wedding highlight video.


Why should I book an engagement shoot?
We highly recommend an engagement shoot because it will help you both to get comfortable in front of the camera. We find that couples who have done an engagement shoot are more relaxed during the location shoot on their wedding day. Otherwise it is a great “get to know each other” session.

When should the engagement shoot be scheduled for?
No later than 3 months prior to the wedding day. We are often booked out during the weekends for weddings meaning there may be very little available Saturdays/Sundays. Turn around time for the photos may take a little longer too, so we wouldn’t want to leave you too little time incase you have plans for your engagement photos e.g. for a guestbook. We are most flexible during weekdays and during the cooler months of the year. Engagement shoots are either scheduled early in the morning around Sunrise or close to Sunset in the afternoon. Engagement photos are usually ready between 2-3 weeks.


Do we pick a location?
That would be recommended especially if you have special spots that you both share. We would be happy to make suggestions based on what kind of look you want for the photos, e.g beach, nature, cityscape.

Are props required and do you provide props?
We can do without props if you just want to have a simple portrait session. We have a limited collection of props available for shoots, however if you would like props it is recommended to bring some along yourself, that way the choice of props are more personalised to you both. We’d hate to give a soccer ball to a couple who does not play soccer!


How many photographers/videographers will there be?
There is always 2 Photographers and/or 2 videographers. 1 photographer and/or 1 videographer team at the bride’s getting ready and the same at the groom’s.  If you book a Same Day Edit video, there will be an additional Editor on the side from the start of the day.

What is a good time for you to start shooting?
A good time for us to start is when you are scheduled to start getting your hair/make up done (often the last to made up) or approx. 1.5-2hrs prior to the traditional/civil ceremony.  The start time can be confirmed closer to the date, though an approx. time will be given at time of booking.

How long do we allocate for the location shoot on the day?
If you have booked our photo and video team together we will require approx 1.5hrs (depending on how many locations you want, we don’t recommend more than 2-3). If you have booked either our photo or video team with another photo/video company we would suggest a min of 1hr per team.

Do we have to provide meals?
Yes, if you book us for more than 4 hours. If we are starting in the morning then lunch and dinner meals are required. Reception venues usually have service meals available for crew.


What is the turn around time for photos/videos?
For weddings, we aim to deliver final files within 3-4months, however this may vary slightly depending on whether your wedding is during peak season or not. You will expect to hear from us with sneak peeks/draft edits within the first month after your wedding day.  As for portraits, these take about 3-4 weeks to be edited and finalised.


Can we meet in person prior to booking?
Of course! It is important for us to be on the same page prior to booking us for your wedding. If we are available on your wedding date, We’ll be happy to meet you at a local cafe and talk about your wedding plans :)

When is a good time to book?
We do not take bookings more than a year in advance but happy to answer any enquiries and send over our packages (which are subject to price changes). If you are getting married within the next year, we urge you to get in contact with us ASAP especially if it is during the warmer months, dates can get snapped up really quickly.

How do I secure my booking?
After deciding on a package, you will receive a contract to be signed by you and your partner. A 30% non-refundable deposit of your total quote is required at the time of booking to secure your date. Deposits can only be paid by bank transfer, and the balance to be paid at least a week prior to your wedding day.
