The reason I’m sneaking another blog post this week is because, today’s couple is getting married…. tomorrow!
We are certain that we’ve got a fun day ahead of us judging by what went down during their engagement shoot. We love that they brought their personalities and their favourite things along. They are both researchers, so we found ourselves at a real lab, they love lego and starwars… so we had a light sabre battle (no one got hurt during the shoot, I think!).
It was a fun shoot of just being silly, being themselves all while enjoying each other’s company. For us? We had a pretty awesome time and admire the happiness these two share!
Sorry blog followers! I’ve really fallen behind with the blogging but I hope to get back to doing it weekly again soon!
The weather of late hasn’t been the best for our recent and upcoming weddings but as bad as you may think it is, we actually love the results of a gloomy, rainy day. For us, it seems to add that extra bit of romance during the location photos between the bride and groom. The wedding I am blogging today, was also a rainy one from March this year.
Tifana & Tom had a big wedding celebration in Indonesia, and their Sydney wedding was definitely a more laid back one. They’ve done it before, so there was little stress about on the day. Yes the weather didn’t look promising at all (it poured down just after they were announced Husband & Wife!) but on the bright side, they’ll be married to the love of their life at the end of the day. They wrapped up their wedding celebrations with a lunch reception at Le Montage, where I recall so many beautiful words of gratitude were shared between the bridal party and the groom himself.
We feel so lucky to be able to document this final part of their wedding journey and wish them the very best in their married life together!

They have recently tied the knot in Indonesia and in just a few days, Jamie & Lita will be doing it all over again in front of their family and friends in Sydney.
Today, we’re taking a look back at the casual and fun shoot we did for them some months ago. It was predicted to rain, but thankfully it was gone in a few minutes and the sun was out for the last part of the shoot! We watched them exchange sweet gestures to funny faces while rowing their boat past us. We even got Lita to try serenade Jamie by playing a tune or two on the ukulele! Really looking forward to continue the fun times with these two (and the rest of their crew!) this coming Sunday!
They were strangers to each other at a mutual friend’s party but shared a few glances that night. Jen later found out Grant’s email address and contacted him via MSN, (ah the good old days before Facebook and Twitter!). During their early conversations Jen tested to see whether Grant knows who she was from that party, so she sent him a photo…and he guessed right! To him, she was the prettiest girl in the group. Such a cute start to their love story! 10 years later, during an escape to Fiji he asked her that one question, and she couldn’t be any happier to say Yes!
They married in November last year at the beautiful grounds of Gledswood Homestead & Winery. Although the wet weather had to change some plans, it was lucky that Plan B at Gledswood was just as perfect for these two :)
Sonja met Glen while she was on exchange and something sparked between them during her Sydney visit. It was time for her to go back to her home in Germany. Glen farewelled Sonja at the departure gate but a little while later he boarded the same flight as her, without her knowing. He also secretly organised to sit next to her… but to his surprise he found a stranger in the seat beside his. Luckily Sonja and Glen ended up next to each other for majority of the flight anyways! After hearing of this chapter from their love story, I thought that these kinds of scenarios only happen in movies but clearly not.
It was such a pleasure meeting Sonja & Glen and their two little girls, even more so being able to capture their sunny Palm Beach wedding back in March this year. Thank you for sharing these moments with us Sonja & Glen!
